Oliver is a very highly qualified orthodontist: in 2009 he successfully passed the Intercollegiate Fellowship Examination in Orthodontics (FDS) from the Royal College of Surgeons of England (2009) entitling him to work as an NHS Consultant.
Qualifying in Dentistry in 1998 from the University of Bristol, in his early career Oliver worked in both general dental practice and in hospital services in London, gaining the prestigious MFDS of the Royal College of Surgeons of England in 2000. Whilst continuing to work in The Eastman Dental Hospital as a Specialist Registrar in Orthodontics, he obtained an MSc in Orthodontics in 2005 and MOrth from the Royal College of Surgeons of England in 2006, winning the British Orthodontic Society prize for the best-treated examination cases.
He then went on to complete a further two years higher specialist training at the Eastman Dental Hospital and Kingston General Hospitals gaining further experience in complex multidisciplinary treatment and is named on the Specialist List (Orthodontics) held by the General Dental Council.
His special interests are multidisciplinary orthodontic treatment, complex orthodontics and orthodontic mechanics.
Oliver is able to provide a caring, high quality, patient-centred approach to treatment using the latest techniques and evidence-based principles. His tailored service uses the full range of appliance (brace) systems such as the Damon system, Clarity SL aesthetic (tooth-coloured) brackets and the new ‘invisible’ Invisalign system to treat simple and complex problems in both adults and children.
Oliver relocated to Oxfordshire in 2009 with his wife Catherine, also a Consultant in Orthodontics, and they are proud parents of Charlotte. Outside of professional life, Oliver enjoys skiing, tennis and middle distance running where he regularly competes in national events for charity. He also likes foreign travel and cookery.
