Karen Morisson (nee Kersten) was born in South Africa and qualified in Dental Hygiene from Utrecht in The Netherlands in 1996.  The first phase of Karen's professional life was spent in a specialist referral practice in Holland dedicated to treating periodontal disease.  After moving to the UK in 2000 she worked as a Dental Hygienist in various general dental practices and referral practices and in 2005 she was appointed Tutor Dental Hygienist at Birmingham University School of Dental Hygiene and Therapy.   Karen joined Ock Street Clinic in 2008.
