Dr. Sarah Jenkins BDS, Sqn Ldr (Retd) (Otago) 1980
Dr Sarah Jenkins was born in New Zealand and qualified in Dentistry from the University of Otago in 1980. After a short period working in New Plymouth she moved to London in 1982 and spent ten years in practice in Islington; within a large Antipodean practice.
In 1991 Sarah joined the RAF Dental Service and quickly progressed to the position of Senior Dental Officer, this involved being in charge of the joint service Dental Centre at RAF Aldergrove, Northern Ireland. In 1995 she began a career break to raise the first of her two young sons. In 2004 Sarah was featured in the Sunday Times and Sunday Telegraph Magazines for her participation in the Keeping in Touch Scheme; an initiative in which dentists are able to renew and update their professional skills following a period away from dentistry. In 2005 Sarah joined Ock Street Dental Care as Associate Dental Surgeon.
Sarah is married to Colin, a RAF helicopter navigator, and lives at RAF Benson. In her spare time she enjoys family life, gardening, cooking, cinema and travel. |
